So this evening we celebrate the Mass of the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time, and we have obviously a special intention, and that is for the people — the tragedy that happened in El Paso, Texas. So many people died as a consequence of violence and there are still many people that are injured.
We keep them in our prayers and also the people that went through a similar tragedy in Gilroy, California.
Let’s pray especially for each one of the deceased and all the ones that are injured and also for their families. And I think we should also pray especially for peace — peace in the world, peace in our country. That people may understand that God wants to give us the gift of peace and that we are open to that special grace.
